Database of historical records of the presence/absence of GRSV in georeferenced peanut fields located in the main peanut-producing area of Argentina

Abstract

A survey was carried out in commercial peanut fields over 18 years, from 2004-05 to 2010-11, and from 2012-13 to 2023-24 growing seasons, respectively. The study area encompassed different towns distributed throughout the main peanut-producing region of Argentina, located between 31° and 36° S and between 63° and 66° W, in the center of the country. The study were conducted annually from February to April. Altogether, 980 peanut fields were arbitrarily selected, georeferenced, and inspected for the presence/absence of orthotospovirus-infected plants.
